At Cadence Speech Therapy, our passion is to help clients achieve functional fluency to confidently communicate in all areas of their lives. We achieve this by providing high-quality, comprehensive, client-centered evaluations and therapy. We specialize in stuttering therapy for children, teens, and adults, as well as provide expert services for speech sound disorders.
ALLEGRA L. MICHAEL, M.A., CCC-SLP
Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist
Allegra received her Bachelor's degree from Duke University with a major in Linguistics and a minor in Religion. She received her education in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and has a Master of Arts in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences. Allegra is professionally licensed by the states of Colorado, California, and Texas to practice as an SLP. She also carries a Special Services Provider license from the Colorado Department of Education and is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Additionally, she is an affiliate of ASHA's Special Interest Group 4, Fluency and Fluency Disorders, and holds the Ally of Stuttering™ Seal from Spero Stuttering, Inc. After spending seven years as a therapist in a stuttering clinic and over 10 years as a speech therapist treating a multitude of fluency and articulation disorders, Allegra made the decision to start her own telepractice specializing in the treatment of stuttering and speech sound disorders. Cadence Speech Therapy, LLC is the realization of a career-long dream to create and manage her own private practice serving fluency and articulation clients utilizing evidence-based and comprehensive therapy techniques.
Outside of being a Speech-Language Pathologist, she enjoys being outdoors with her family including her two daughters, hiking, biking, camping, traveling, acting, and playing the violin. She plays fiddle in the Irish band Banthom House as well as classical violin with the chamber music group Front Range Strings and can be seen performing as an actor and musician on stages throughout Colorado.
